Alex Pretti’s parents say the federal government is shielding agents involved in his killing
Federal prosecutors recently disclosed they had stopped sharing evidence with Minnesota authorities who are investigating the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by federal officers. The parents of intensive care nurse Alex Pretti have accused the federal government of shielding immigration enforcement officers involved in their son's killing. They argue that no one from the government has provided any substantive information for nine months. Federal prosecutors have also stopped sharing evidence with Minnesota authorities investigating the killings of Pretti and Renee Good by federal officers. The Prettis call for the Department of Justice to hold accountable those who shot their son during President Donald Trump's ramp up in deportations targeting Minnesota. They spoke at a news conference, calling their treatment by the Trump administration "cruelty". The state is still seeking the cellphones of the officers involved and recordings of key interviews.
