Minnesota Among The Best States In The US To Find A Job: Report
Only two states beat Minnesota in WalletHub's new ranking of the best places to find work. Here's where the state stood out. Minnesota has been named among the best states in the US to find a job, ranking third behind only Massachusetts and Connecticut. The ranking was based on 34 measures of job market strength and economic health, including employment growth, unemployment, underemployment, median income, commute times, and state income tax burdens. The state placed eighth in the job market category and fourth in the economic environment. Factors such as pay and benefits were a key driver of Minnesota's strong showing, including the third-highest median household income in the country at nearly $86,000. The report also highlighted the state's 3 percent unemployment rate and its workshare program, which allows employers to temporarily reduce employees' hours during economic downturns.
