A suspect in a drive-by shooting in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, has been arrested in Willmar. The Sheriff’s Office reports that someone in another vehicle fired shots at a person leaving their driveway on a rural road when another vehicle was seen traveling westbound. A Willmar police officer spotted the suspect vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and it eventually veered off the road. The suspect was arrested in a shed without incident and faces possible charges of attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Deg Assault, Drive-by Shooting, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of an Firearm. Two other people in the vehicle have not been located.

WILLMAR, MINN – A suspect in a drive-by shooting in Kandiyohi County was arrested in Willmar.
The Sheriff’s Office says that shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday someone reported they were leaving their driveway on a rural road when someone in another vehicle fired shots at them. The vehicle was seen traveling westbound, toward Willmar. A Willmar police officer later spotted the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on Willmar Avenue at a high rate of speed, and it eventually went off the road.
Law enforcement set up a perimeter, and a short time later, the suspect was arrested in a shed without incident. He faces possible charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Assault, Drive-by Shooting, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
Two other people who were in the vehicle have not been located.
