Hasan Piker joins Ilhan Omar, Omar Fateh at Minneapolis election event
Hasan Piker joined Ilhan Omar and Omar Fateh in Minneapolis for an election event focused on immigration enforcement, Trump and progressive organizing. At a Minneapolis election event, left-wing activist Hasan Piker joined U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar and state Sen. Omar Fateh in criticizing the Trump administration and praising Minneapolis residents for resisting federal immigration enforcement. The event, "I'm the Host Now: Election Edition," was hosted by Omar and hosted by state Sen Omar. Piker, whose appearances with Democratic candidates have been scrutinized for accusations of antisemitism, largely avoided controversies surrounding him. Omar praised local organizations' preparation for the Trump immigration crackdown and suggested that a less organized response might have encouraged similar operations elsewhere. The discussion also touched on issues such as immigration enforcement and economic inequality.
