I called this lawyer because there was a lawsuit beyond the statute of limitations. After all, I wrote a big bill because the former college was unaware, so I could not afford to buy a credit card when I was a college graduate. I told the credit card company this, but I said it was too bad. I didn't know that a police report was necessary, but now I knew that the person was dead. Even though they've made all their monthly payments, they've increased their monthly minimum payments. After asking the credit card company many times, I was told that I could pay the full amount to stop paying with them.
Now that the statute of limitations has expired, I have contacted this lawyer for help.
He called and explained that I needed help when I was sued by a credit card company. He stopped and gave a long sigh of incredulity that I was bothering him with my problem, "Okay? So, can I ask him how much I owe?" I tell him the amount, he sighs again, I call the lawyer and tell him that I should pay it immediately, or if it can't, I should plan to pay. I tell him I did it myself, not what I was looking for or why I called him, and explain the statute of limitations. He sighed again, stopped, and gave another signal. Are you serious about what I can think of? Finally, he says, "The reason I stop is because my charges and court costs are the same, even if you win." I tell him that I want to sue because they are illegal about what they are doing. Then, because I did not ask first, I say that all of the battles over the last two years, and the states in which the states fought, opened the card, the states now (Mn), the state of the credit card company, all have reached the statute. I explained that someone made a debt, I was sent a summons two years ago, I fought, but I've erased the summons for more than a year, denied all the processes, they sent me another, and I'm fighting again and now appealing to me. He seemed interested in my case, but I told him that I didn't need a lawyer to believe in and that I would just blow me off. I told him to have a good day and hang up.
I never imagined that I would become a lawyer to make a decision to pay for something and silence them instead of asking someone. Especially when that happens, I earn money. No.
