The Attorney Introduction and Information Service (LRIS) connects people with legal issues to one of the more than 200 qualified private lawyers in more than 50 legal areas. Referral counselors can access people who can set up their appointments with lawyers, provide general information about legal procedures, and dispatch people to the appropriate legal resources. The referral counselor is not a lawyer, but can help customers focus on legal issues and determine the type of assistance they need.
